Hi and welcome on my portfolio site. My name is Jalien Winter and I'm an illustration design graduate from Zwolle, The Netherlands. I studied at ArtEZ hogeschool voor de kunsten Zwolle and graduated in august of 2020. 

My main focus is filmmaking. I mostly make films starring myself as the main character. For my films I use the following combination of techniques: greenscreen, collage art, painting, drawing, digital drawing, costume designing and making, photography and 3D sculpting. I also edit all my movies myself. For the editing process I use Adobe photoshop, Adobe premiere pro and Adobe after effects. 

I try to create movies that are on the verge of being childish and being more adult like. To achieve this I use a somewhat childish imagery to speak about more adult topics. A good example for this is my project 'The Way Out'. A point and click adventure that tells the story of someone who struggles with suicidal thoughts. 

I'm always looking for a new way to use my work. I've created video clips, short films, films to go with a live performance and at the moment I'm working on a game featuring all kinds of short clips. 

Besides films I also work a lot on costume designing and photography.
